“Reform for Enhancing Development and Building Our Future Together” is the theme of the 2024 Policy Address delivered by the Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, on 16 October. The 2024 Policy Address outlines the priorities for Hong Kong’s development and new growth areas, while consolidating our traditional strengthens and encouraging innovation in advancing reforms. Key highlights that may be of interest to the Central and Eastern European markets are summarised below.

Hong Kong is a leading international financial centre, with our financial sector contributing nearly one-fourth of Hong Kong’s Gross Domestic Product. Switzerland and Hong Kong offer financial services across different time zones and there is ample room for cooperation between the two places. The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Christopher Hui, visited Switzerland in November to attend a UN meeting to promulgate Hong Kong’s efforts to create a comprehensive ecosystem for sustainability disclosure, and to meet with his counterparts to discuss opportunities for bilateral co-operation.

HKETO Berlin supported the film festival “Making Waves – Navigators of Hong Kong Cinema” in Berlin, Germany from 20 to 22 September, and hosted a reception before the screening of the opening film “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In”, welcoming some 100 guests. Launched in 2022, the “Making Waves – Navigators of Hong Kong Cinema” programme is funded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Hong Kong Government to help Hong Kong films go global. To date, it has showcased the work of many promising Hong Kong filmmakers in over 20 cities.

The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, delivered the 2024-25 Budget on 28 February 2024 and announced a series of measures, aiming to promote high-quality economic development amid the complicated and ever-changing international environment.

Leaders of governments, representatives of major international organisations and senior management of enterprises from over 100 countries and regions gathered in Davos, Switzerland to attend the 54th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting held from 15 to 19 January 2024. Representing the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, the Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, and the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, met with political, business and financial leaders to update them on Hong Kong’s latest economic and financial developments.

This year is the Year of the Dragon, which signifies strength and resilience. HKETO Berlin celebrated the beginning of the Year of the Dragon together with friends and partners of the eight countries under our office’s purview. Eight receptions were held in Warsaw (6 February), Berlin (13 February), Ljubljana (16 February), Bratislava (20 February), Prague (21 February), Zurich (27 February), Budapest (28 February) and Vienna (6 March), bringing together more than 1 200 guests from government, political, business and cultural sectors.

Hong Kong is an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange. One of its most outstanding assets is its filmmaking, with many of our film professionals winning numerous accolades. HKETO Berlin aspires to bring some of the best film highlights, as well as arts performances to the Central and Eastern European audiences.

The latest issue of the newsletter covers a wide range of Hong Kong topics, including the annual Policy Address by the Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, recent visits of Hong Kong officials to Central and Eastern Europe, as well as cultural and talent promotion events supported by HKETO Berlin.

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, delivered his latest Policy Address on 25 October 2023. The overachieving goal is to make Hong Kong a better place for all – for people to enjoy a better living environment, students to receive quality education, young people to fully realise their potential, and the elderly to be well taken care of. “We aspire to create a cohesive and caring community, with a vibrant economy where everyone can enjoy life”, the Chief Executive highlighted.

On 8 and 9 June 2023, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, met with Hungarian government officials and the business community on a two-day visit to Budapest, Hungary. He briefed them about the latest initiatives on attracting businesses and investment and highlighted Hong Kong’s unique advantages under “One Country, Two Systems”. Hong Kong and Hungary share close bilateral ties, with Hungary being Hong Kong’s seventh largest trading partner in the European Union. On the other hand, Hong Kong is the gateway for Hungarian enterprises to access the markets of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and to take part in the Belt and Road Initiative. Mr Yau also visited Q Contemporary, an art museum founded by a Hong Kong-born businesswoman, during his visit.

Hong Kong has always been proud of its film industry, and the Hong Kong Government is strongly determined to further nurture the city’s arts and culture sector, including the film industry. In this connection, HKETO Berlin sponsored a series of top-notch film festivals in different European cities, including Zurich, Warsaw, Bratislava and Prague, in the second half of 2023 to bring some of the best Hong Kong productions to the European audience.

In an era marked by globalisation and international cooperation, Hong Kong is committed to promoting cultural and people-to-people exchange. HKETO Berlin supported a wide range of cultural events throughout this summer and autumn. Apart from the events to be highlighted below, HKETO Beriln also supported Hong Kong’s participation at the Special Olympic World Games in Berlin (17-25 June), the Lustr Festival in Prague (21-26 September), Zuni’s performance at Tempelhof’s 100th celebration in Berlin (7 October), as well as the Hong Kong Pavilion at the Frankfurt Book Fair (18-22 October).

Dear friends, We are in the midst of an exciting time for Hong Kong with a lot of good news coming in! With the pandemic finally behind us, there are no longer any pandemic-related restrictions in Hong Kong. Our city is officially back to business with a fresh start. All economic sectors, including investments and tourism, are expected to regain momentum, and Hong Kong’s economy is expected to see a visible rebound as a result. The promising outlook is further underpinned by the fact that Mainland China is also resuming its economic activities and connection with the rest of the world...

Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, presented the first Budget of the current-term Government on 22 February 2023. It was also the first since Hong Kong’s emergence from the pandemic and removal of all travel restrictions. Under the title “Leaping Forward Steadily, Together We Bolster Prosperity under Our New Vision”, the Financial Secretary expected a visible economic rebound this year with growth of 3.5 to 5.5% for 2023.

The 53rd WEF Annual Meeting from 16 to 20 January 2023 was a long-awaited event for business and political leaders worldwide. After more than two years, the Annual Meeting returned to its pre-pandemic format and scale with more than 2 700 business executives and state representatives from 130 countries joining worldwide. This edition marked a record-breaking attendance by finance ministers from more than 50 countries and regions, and among them, was the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, Mr Paul Chan, who spread the good news of Hong Kong’s return to the world stage. During the four-day event, Mr Chan met with a wide spectrum of political and business leaders, including ministers from Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, heads of international and regional organisations as well as top executives from international and multinational companies, with a view to strengthening bilateral cooperation and updating them about Hong Kong’s favourable development prospects.

Spring started with Austria’s largest education fair BeSt from 2 to 5 March 2023 in Vienna. Jointly organised by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Research and the Austrian Public Employment Service, 75 000 visitors interested in exploring different study and progression pathways attended the fair. Many of them took the chance to stop by HKETO Berlin’s booth to learn about the unique studying and living experience offered through various programmes.

From 24 to 26 April 2023, Katowice was again the centre of attention for experts, politicians and business people alike to meet up and discuss the latest political trends and economic developments under the dynamic geopolitical environment worldwide during the 15th European Economic Congress. As one of the leading business events in Central Europe, Ms Jenny Szeto, Director of the HKETO Berlin, used this excellent platform to display Hong Kong’s aspiration to become a premier centre for innovation and technology (I&T) in Asia and beyond. On 25 April 2023, Ms Szeto joined the panel discussion “Global trade and investment” to share insights on how Hong Kong leverages its economic recovery for nurturing entrepreneurs, talents and research and development to support the sustainable growth of strategic sectors, including I&T. Ms Szeto introduced the recently launched initiatives and funding programmes of the Hong Kong Government to the audience, such as the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint, which outlines the development directions and strategies to nurture Hong Kong as one of the most important I&T centres worldwide.

This year, Hong Kong is embracing the liveliness of the Rabbit as we open up ourselves once again after three full years of pandemic restrictions. HKETO Berlin is delighted to organise the festive Chinese New Year celebrations again as well as other cultural events to reconnect with its community in Central and Eastern Europe.

Dear friends, An eventful and challenging year is drawing to a close. We have all witnessed soaring inflation, geopolitical rifts, uncertainties in regard to the global economic outlook and more. On the other hand, this year is also a year to remember for Hong Kong as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 1 July. Our Office celebrated this very special occasion with a series of events including gala dinners in Berlin and Zurich, a reception in Vienna, physical and virtual photo exhibitions on the past 25 years of Hong Kong cinema, as well as participation in dragon boat racing events and film festivals.

On 19 October, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, delivered his maiden Policy Address. Amidst a plethora of global challenges, including the pandemic, high inflation, interest rate hikes, tightening monetary policies, trade disputes and geopolitical tensions, the Chief Executive outlined in his first Policy Address his governing beliefs and visions for Hong Kong, and announced a series of bold measures that aim at improving Hong Kong’s competitiveness, reinforcing its role as a global business and financial hub and attracting more overseas talents and enterprises, while underscoring the need to strengthen national security.

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary (25A) of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China this year, HKETO Berlin presented a broad range of celebration activities under the theme of “A New Era – Stability. Prosperity. Opportunity”, displaying Hong Kong’s remarkable achievements over the past quarter century and its aspirations for a better future.

On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China, HKETO Berlin sponsored a series of top-notch film festivals in different European cities. To kick things off, HKETO Berlin supported the “Hong Kong Window” at the 18th Zurich Film Festival, Switzerland’s largest autumn festival.

Hungary and Poland have all along been important partners of Hong Kong and Mainland China, and we see great potential to further unlock business potential with these regions through deepened cooperation. With the lifting of quarantine requirement, Hong Kong has once again opened its door to international visitors and is keen to revive international business exchange with countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

I hope you have had a good start to the Year of the Tiger! It is unfortunate that we missed the chance to meet at our annual Chinese New Year receptions which were once again cancelled this year owing to the pandemic. Nevertheless, I hope you have enjoyed the video we prepared to share with you the festive greetings from Hong Kong, together with a musical performance from the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and some festive footage from the Hong Kong Tourism Board. With the pandemic situation improving gradually over the past months, we are glad to see that many European countries have eased most of the travelling restrictions and social distancing measures, embarking on the way back to normality.

The Financial Secretary Paul Chan delivered the Government’s 2022-23 Budget on 23 February 2022, with extensive measures to relieve the hardship of Hong Kong people, render support to the struggling economy and foster a post epidemic economic revival.
HKETO Berlin in collaboration with the THINKTANK and Centre for International Relations (CIR), gathered top-notch experts from the creativity industry in Hong Kong and Poland on February 15, 2022, to discuss current developments of visual culture in Asia and Europe.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a vibrant city cluster comprising the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, together with nine municipalities in the area including Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The GBA lies at Hong Kong’s doorstep offering unique business opportunities for startups, entrepreneurs as well as for established companies in Hungary. As part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Hungary is perfectly located to benefit from the developments in Hong Kong, which serves as the launching pad to access the vast and growing market of the GBA.

Ms Jenny Szeto, Director of HKETO Berlin joined the panel discussion “Europe and Asia: discussions about cooperation and economy” as part of the 14th European Economic Congress on April 25, 2022 in Katowice to illustrate the business prospects for European and especially Polish companies that would like to expand to Mainland China using Hong Kong as a gateway. The panel discussion brought together diplomats and government officials from Asia who shared their perspectives on the business ties and opportunities between Asia and Central and Eastern Europe with an audience of some 50 participants from businesses, institutions and ministries from Poland and abroad.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation in businesses at a pace that was not considered possible before. Hong Kong is no exception and has experienced a significant boost in digital transformation over the past two years. As an innovation hub, Hong Kong has invested massively in its digital transformation to meet the challenges of the future. Hong Kong has doubled down on its commitment to revamp the city into a leading global innovation and entrepreneurship hub. It has developed an impressive information and communication technology (ICT) ecosystem, with over 93% household penetration of broadband and nearly 100 000 people working in the industry.

The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, delivered her annual Policy Address themed “Building a Bright Future Together” on October 6, 2021. The Policy Address sets to position Hong Kong as a leading innovation and cultural hub.

In the combat against climate change, Hong Kong is one of the economies in the world committing to carbon neutrality by around 2050. With ambitious goals, Hong Kong has even pledged to do so before 2050.

From fintech to food – Hong Kong is the place to be for tomorrow’s startups from all over the world: arond 30 per cent of all startups in Hong Kong in 2021 are foreign, among which 60 per cent are from Europe.

Mr Christopher Hui, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, discussed the global trends in the financial world during a webinar with more than 80 business leaders from different countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

Autumn is traditionally the film festival season in Central Europe. HKETO Berlin has once again sponsored two top-notch film festivals, namely the Zurich Film Festival and the Five Flavours Asian Film Festival in Warsaw, that have brought cinematic art from Hong Kong to the European audience.

Hong Kong is a city of curiosities. A city where skyscrapers pierce through the clouds but with a dynamic cultural landscape lying underneath the glass and steel skyline. The city is home to a myriad of contemporary and classic venues where the collections and installations are often eclectic and insightful, reflecting the best of the city, Asia and beyond.

Over 700 European entrepreneurs and business executives seized the opportunity and joined the “Direct Dialogue with Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR” on February 5, 2021 to learn about Hong Kong’s unique advantages for doing business and the excellent prospects for overseas companies to tap the vast market in Mainland China and Asia through Hong Kong.

In light of Hong Kong’s pledge to strive to achieve carbon neutrality before 2050, the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, discussed the prospects for European technology in contributing to a greener and carbon-neutral Hong Kong during an online event on March 19, 2021 with more than 170 entrepreneurs and business executives from different European countries.

The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, unveiled the Government’s 2021-22 Budget on February 24, 2021 with wide-ranging measures striving to emerge from the unprecedented financial, economic and social challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On January 11, 2021, esteemed jurists attended the Ceremonial Opening of the Legal Year 2021 at the Court of Final Appeal. With the Basic Law, a rich common law heritage and global connectivity, Hong Kong enjoys a world-wide reputation for its rule of law, strong legal fraternity and independent judiciary.

The fight against the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 has kept governments around the world on their toes during the summer months. Since the outbreak in early January, the HKSAR Government has implemented a comprehensive approach to contain the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of the community.

The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, delivered her Policy Address “Striving ahead” on November 25, 2020. Following a year of social unrest and faced with the ongoing challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s address focused on wide-ranging strategies.

Due to the pandemic and the corresponding restrictions on travelling and social gathering, HKETO Berlin seized the opportunity of the AsiaBerlin Summit by the Berlin Senate to organise an exclusive online business seminar titled “Resilience in a global turmoil: Launching your fintech dream in the vibrant start-up ecosystem in Hong Kong” on September 22, 2020.

HKETO Berlin presented a selection of four of the latest Hong Kong films in the dedicated “Window: Hong Kong” section of the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) in Switzerland. The ZFF opened its gates from September 24 to October 4, 2020 to a total of 68,000 visitors.

The HKETO Berlin held an online event on November 5, 2020 introducing the newly established Hong Kong Laureate Forum (HKLF) to Hungarian students and young scientists interested in study and research opportunities in Hong Kong. The inaugural HKLF is scheduled to take place from November 15 to 20, 2021 at the Hong Kong Science Park.

In light of the global pandemic, Hong Kong saw a range of its annual events turning virtual this year with great success, illustrating the importance of digital transformation as well as global networking.

The outbreak of the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 has alarmed governments around the world. The HKSAR Government has implemented a comprehensive and co-ordinated approach to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus and protect the health of the community while maintaining Hong Kong’s position as an international city and aviation hub.

Entering its 13th edition, Hong Kong hosted the Asian Financial Forum again on January 13 and 14, 2020, to welcome more than 100 influential global financial experts, policymakers, business leaders, economists and investors, and over 3,500 participants from around the world at this signature event.

On January 21-23, 2020, the Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, led a top-level delegation to the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos to meet global political, business and media leaders. It was the largest and most high-powered Hong Kong delegation to Davos to date.

A well thought-out plan was unveiled in the Hong Kong Budget 2020-21 to boast the economy and ease the burden on people as the city battles economic headwinds amid the COVID-19 epidemic. The HK$120 billion (EUR 14.16bn) in one-off relief measures includes tax waivers for businesses and employees.

Hong Kong has launched a new patent system on December 19, 2019, marking a milestone in the city’s development as an innovation hub and IP trading centre. The new system reduces patenting costs and speeds up the approval process, bringing greater convenience for R&D professionals.

The Year of the Rat has begun on January 25, 2020. Traditionally, our Chinese New Year receptions serve as a platform for connecting with business partners as well as new and old friends in the festive season. In view of the latest developments in Hong Kong, this year’s edition was held in the spirit of showing solidarity between Hong Kong and Central and Eastern Europe and maintaining confidence in Hong Kong.

The Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mrs Carrie Lam, released her Policy Address "Treasure Hong Kong: Our Home" on October 16. The focus of this year's Address relates to housing and land, as well as livelihood issues, diversifying the economy, nurturing talent and making Hong Kong a more liveable city.

The fourth Belt and Road Summit, jointly organised by the Government of the HKSAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), drew international limelight on 11-12 September, having brought together more than 5,000 political and business elites from over 60 countries and regions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With a global outlook and international connectivity, Hong Kong enterprises and professionals play an indispensable role in making Hong Kong the prime platform for Hungarian enterprises to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Hong Kong's Chief Executive Mrs Carrie Lam spoke at the Emerging Markets Outlook session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2019 in Davos, Switzerland, together with other high-ranking speakers, among them Mr Berat Albayrak, Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkey and Mr Guido Sandleris, Governor of the Central Bank of Argentina.

The second half of 2018 saw the opening of two major infrastructure projects bringing high connectivity and new economic, social and livelihood opportunities to Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Through the support of HKETO Berlin, audiences in Hungary, Switzerland and Austria enjoyed the privilege of watching a great variety of Hong Kong productions at renowned film festivals this autumn.

Hong Kong is liberal and vivacious, and is one of the most welcoming and liveable international cities for talents to make their dreams come true.

The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, attended the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings from 24 to 25 June in Lindau, Germany. It was her first time to attend this event, which is considered a unique international forum for exchanges between scientists of different generations, cultures, and disciplines.

The third Belt and Road Summit, themed "Collaborate for Success", was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28 June. The event drew leading speakers from Hong Kong, the Mainland of China, and countries along the Belt and Road.

On 1 July, Hong Kong celebrated the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) with a flag-raising ceremony attended by the Chief Executive Mrs Carrie Lam and senior government officials.

Mrs Carrie Lam attended the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting from 24 to 26 January in Davos, Switzerland, as a speaker at two of the official WEF sessions and joined several other WEF leader events.

In January, the Secretary for Transport and Housing and Chairman of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council (LOGSCOUNCIL), Mr Frank Chan Fan, led a delegation from the logistics industry to Germany to promote Hong Kong as a regional premier logistics hub.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government welcomed the Heritage Foundation’s ranking of Hong Kong as the world’s freest economy for the 24th consecutive year.

Good governance, a diversified economy, nurturing talents, improving people’s livelihood, building a liveable city and connecting with the young people – these are the top priorities that Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, highlighted in her first Policy Address delivered on 11 October.

In the above-mentioned Policy Address, Mrs Carrie Lam assured that the HKSAR Government will strive to give full play to Hong Kong’s role as a gateway to the Mainland of China under the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative and capitalise on the opportunities therein.

Film festivals, gala dinners, sports events and much more: To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, the HKETO Berlin in collaboration with various institutions organised a series of events presenting Hong Kong’s progress to audiences in Central and Eastern Europe.

Hong Kong is one of the world's major film producers and exporters. The city enjoys a wealth of advanced film production services and professional filmmaking personnel, making its films well known on the international scene. No wonder that some prestigious European film festivals roll out their own Hong Kong sections this year.

Hong Kong has a new leader. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor was elected as Hong Kong’s new Chief Executive, and was sworn in her new post on July 1. Before becoming the first female Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Mrs Lam already had a career in civil service in which she held the position of the Chief Secretary for Administration, the most senior rank of principal officials of Hong Kong.

World leaders and top policy makers usually mark their diaries well in advance to attend international key events such as the G20 conferences and the annual sessions of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law. And so did Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary and Secretary for Justice.

The second edition of the Belt and Road Summit will be held on September 11 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 2,000 movers and shakers from government and business are expected to join and exchange ideas about how to tap a world of new opportunities.

HKETO Berlin was an official co-operation partner of the 2016 EXCHAiNGE, an international business conference for supply chain and operation professionals in Frankfurt.

Poland was again in the focus from 10 to 19 October 2016 when a delegation of the Hong Kong Young Leaders Development Association visited Warsaw and Krakow.

On 26 October 2016, HKETO Berlin organised a seminar with the Law Society of Hong Kong, Polish Chamber of Commerce, and Polish National Bar of Attorneys to explore how Polish investors and companies could make use of the world class legal services provided by Hong Kong in advancing their investment and businesses to Mainland China, especially under the Belt and Road Initiative.

On 12 January 2017, HKETO Berlin organised a business seminar on the Belt and Road Initiative in Budapest.

Cultural exchange is one of the key blocs under the Belt and Road Initiative. It is in the tradition of HKETO Berlin to partner with renowned film festivals. In 2016, the works of some of the most promising filmmakers from Hong Kong were presented in Switzerland, Austria and Poland alongside other international films.

Having presented his work at renowned places such as the Asia Triennial Manchester, Moscow Biennale of Young Art, Amos Anderson Museum in Helsinki and Today Art Museum in Beijing as well as being the inaugural winner of the Art Basel-BMW Art Journey Award 2015, Hong Kong artist Samson Young stages an exhibition at the Kunsthalle Dusseldorf from 17 December 2016 to 5 March 2017.

1 July 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to the Mainland of China and the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Hong Kong was honored to be the host city of the 15th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) – the flagship event in the region for business leaders, executives and government representatives to discuss and promote economic relations between Germany and Asia. der in three out of the five major areas of assessment, namely “Size of government”, “Freedom to trade internationally” and “Regulation”.

The Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC), the biggest event of its kind in Asia, was running at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22-23 November 2016.

The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) together with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Design Centre staged the sixth Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia) on 1-2 December 2016 for IP expertise and business leaders from around the globe to gather in Hong Kong for professional exchanges.

Asia’s leading annual design event, the Business of Design Week (BODW), was another highlight that took place in the city in autumn.

More than 90 leaders in government, finance and business joined and spoke at the Asian Financial Forum (AFF) 2017 in Hong Kong to share their insights.
