CE's statement in response to approval by Standing Committee of National People's Congress of amended Annex I and Annex II to Basic Law
就全國人民代表大會常務委員會（全國人大常委會）通過新修訂的《基本法》附件一《香港特別行政區行政長官的產生辦法》和附件二《香港特別行政區立法會的產生辦法和表決程序》，行政長官林鄭月娥今日（三月三十日）發表以下聲明：
我和特區政府管治團隊堅定支持全國人大常委會通過新修訂的《基本法》附件一《香港特別行政區行政長官的產生辦法》和附件二《香港特別行政區立法會的產生辦法和表決程序》，完善香港特區選舉制度，建立一套符合「一國兩制」制度體系、符合香港實際情況、落實「愛國者治港」的政治體制。
我和特區政府將全力以赴依照新修訂的附件一和附件二推動修改本地相關選舉法律的工作，並做好公眾解說，讓更多香港市民認同完善選舉制度的必要性、迫切性，支持有關工作。待立法會通過有關的選舉條例後，特區政府會按序、有效地依法組織和規管相關的選舉活動，貫徹落實新選舉制度。
我會帶領管治團隊繼續履職盡責，堅持依法治港，維護國家主權、安全、發展利益和確保香港大局穩定。我深信完善選舉制度，落實「愛國者治港」原則，可有效解決近年香港社會泛政治化和內耗不斷的困局，有助切實提高特區治理效能。特區肯定能用好自身的獨特優勢，並在中央的大力支持下，拓展經濟，改善民生，確保「一國兩制」行穩致遠、香港長期繁榮穩定。
