Chinese New Year Receptions

The Year of the Rat has begun on January 25, 2020. Traditionally, our Chinese New Year receptions serve as a platform for connecting with business partners as well as new and old friends in the festive season. In view of the latest developments in Hong Kong, this year’s edition was held in the spirit of showing solidarity between Hong Kong and Central and Eastern Europe and maintaining confidence in Hong Kong.

Link up with HKETO Berlin. We were particularly pleased to gather with local contacts in Berlin (February 11, 2020), Frankfurt (February 13, 2020) and Hamburg (February 18, 2020). The receptions have brought together like-minded people from government, political, business and cultural sectors, furnishing them with the latest updates about Hong Kong and reminding them about the strong fundamentals of Asia’s World City. The events in Berlin and Frankfurt were accompanied by a musical performance of popular and contemporary songs, interpreted in English and Cantonese by the a capella group VSing – a group of young talents from Hong Kong.

The Chinese New Year Receptions in Munich (scheduled for February 19, 2020), Zurich (scheduled for February 27, 2020), and Warsaw (scheduled for March 3, 2020) would be postponed until further notice. The date and other details of the alternative events will be announced soon. The forthcoming Chinese New Year’s reception will be held in Vienna on March 11, 2020.
