HKETO Berlin’s cultural and talent promotion

In an era marked by globalisation and international cooperation, Hong Kong is committed to promoting cultural and people-to-people exchange. HKETO Berlin supported a wide range of cultural events throughout this summer and autumn. Apart from the events to be highlighted below, HKETO Beriln also supported Hong Kong’s participation at the Special Olympic World Games in Berlin (17-25 June), the Lustr Festival in Prague (21-26 September), Zuni’s performance at Tempelhof’s 100th celebration in Berlin (7 October), as well as the Hong Kong Pavilion at the Frankfurt Book Fair (18-22 October).

Züri Fäscht

HKETO Berlin sponsored once again the dragon boat races during Switzerland’s biggest public festival, the Zuri Fäscht, from 7 to 9 July 2023. Its presence not only added a touch of authenticity to the event but also underlined the importance of cultural diversity and cross-border cooperation.

Asian Youth Orchestra

Reception hosted at HKETO Berlin on 4 August 2023 on the occasion of the Asian Youth Orchestra performance in Berlin.



Having regard to Hong Kong’s vision to emerge as an international hub for arts and cultural exchange, HKETO Berlin sponsored the performance of the Asian Youth Orchestra in Berlin as the opening concert of the Young Euro Classic 2023 on 4 August 2023. Alongside the concert, HKETO Berlin hosted a reception to connect with friends, partners and music enthusiasts.

Berlin CityCup

Highlights of the Berlin City Cup in Berlin on 9 September 2023.



Another dragon boat event took place this season with the support of HKETO Berlin: the Berlin City Cup from 9 to 10 September 2023. More than 70 teams from all over Germany competed in the annual dragon boat-themed “tug of war”, while sports fans and families enjoyed the thrilling races during the sunny weekend.

Study Fair Einstieg in Munich

HKETO Berlin hosted a booth at the German education fair Einstieg in Munich from 24 to 25 November 2023 to inform over 7 000 participants from Germany about the exciting study opportunities that Hong Kong has to offer. Ms Bonnie Ka, Acting Director of HKETO Berlin, took the opportunity to recruit students and talents to Hong Kong, through the various talent admission schemes and facilitation measures of the HKSAR Government.
