HKETO Newsletter December 2024
Dear friends,
As the year nearly draws to a close, it presents a wonderful opportunity not only to reflect on the milestones we have achieved, but also to look ahead to the exciting opportunities the future holds. In the past few months, Hong Kong has continued to evolve as a dynamic hub for trade, investment, business, education, and tourism, making it an ideal destination for global connections. We are thrilled to share the latest updates with you in this December newsletter.
One of the key highlights is certainly the Chief Executive’s 2024 Policy Address delivered earlier in October, which outlines forward-thinking strategies to bolster Hong Kong’s established strengths and create new impetus for economic development. These bold initiatives are designed to foster a more business-friendly environment and unlock new business opportunities for our international business community. A detailed overview of these exciting measures can be found in this article.
Beyond business, Hong Kong’s cultural vibrancy and its unique cultural offerings continue to captivate many of us. To support this, the Hong Kong Government promulgated the Blueprint for Arts and Culture and Creative Industries Development recently in November, with a view to further nurturing these industries and enhancing the city’s cultural appeal. On the part of our office, we have been working diligently to promote Hong Kong’s diverse film productions in Central and Eastern Europe, strengthening cross-cultural exchanges and sharing our success stories with the world. You can learn more about these efforts here.
If you are interested in receiving more and timely updates about Hong Kong and upcoming activities of our office, we warmly invite you to follow us on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. We look forward to staying connected and sharing more positive news with you in the year to come. Until then, I wish you all a peaceful and joyful holiday season and a prosperous new year!
